Imagine being 8 years old and sitting down at the breakfast table to eat when you see out the window your father with an ax. When you ask your mother where he is going she gives you the news that he is going to kill a piglet that was born the night before. Imagine  running outside to stop him when he decides to give you the piglet to take care of. That’s what happened to Fern on the morning she got Wilbur the pig. In the book Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White. Friendship is a major theme in this story as well as other stories for several reasons.

Friendship is a foundation of the novel. If Fern didn’t love Wilbur he would be killed as a runt and served for Christmas dinner.  Wilbur is saved by love twice the love is equally as powerful as a love story. Charlotte says in the story “what’s a life anyway? We’re born we live a little we die a spiders life can’t help but being something of a mess with all this trapping and eating flies by helping me you perhaps to life my life up a trifle heavens knows anyone’s life can stand a little of that”.

Books that have the theme of friendship because they are best friends and are always together and they will always do anything for each other. For example the story where Toad wanted a letter and Frog sent him one he did that to make him happy and toad would do the same. And how frog asks toad the what the matter is whenever he is looking sad

Fern and Wilbur are best friends and they love each other just like frog and toad and any other best friends they would save each other’s live actually that’s what fern did on the very first page of Charlotte’s web in both stories there is strong appearance of friendship and you can tell that right away.

What will Happen? The Help

Imagine doing something so criminal, and scandalous that you couldn’t tell anybody about it well that’s what skeeter and Abilene along with the other maids do in the story the help. The Help by Kathryn Stockett is about a girl named skeeter that write a book on what it’s like to be a maid in Jacksonville Mississippi, along with the help of her few maid friends Abilene and Minny. However I am only in the middle of the story so I don’t know what happens at the end. At the end I think that Minny and Abilene and Skeeter write the story and it turns into a really good story and everyone reads it but there becomes an issue because everybody finds out who is writing the story

One reason that my prediction could be accurate is because so many people are writing it that it becomes hard to keep it a secret because they have to keep it from their employers, families, friends, and anyone they come in contact with so it is probably hard to keep it from everyone you know so they probably tell someone by accident. Another reason that the secret could have gotten out was because the editor Elaine Stein knew that Skeeter was writing the book and that a few maids have decided to help her so she could have told someone and that secret would have spread very quick.

A story that the plot I predicted reminded me of  Clover by Dori Sanders it’s a book about a girl who has to make it on her own with her stepmother in a racist community and you can’t really say a lot about your life or what you’re doing because you would be judged on it.

I think that my prediction is pretty accurate because the events that are happening in the story tell me that it could end badly for Skeeter and the maids. Although I can never be sure if that’s how it really ends there could be a twist at the end. There will also be many other details in the story. I am pretty sure my prediction is accurate.          

3:15 Prediction

Troy came out looking tired like he was half awake as Molly asked him if he was ok  he just walked away ignoring her Mr. Mason came out of the class and watched him walk away looking regretful molly had scurried off as soon as she heard him coming but she knew that it wasn’t just for today he would be like this forever.

How Did Skeeter change in the help?

Imagine being treated differently every day just because of the color of your skin. When Hilly talks about the toilet law right in front of Abilene I can’t imagine how she must have felt. Skeeter in The Help by Kathryn Stockett have changed the maids view of society just as they have changed her.

Skeeter was raised in a town that was prejudice everybody had an African American maid but what Skeeter didn’t realize was the prejudices of her town. She refused to believe how evil her town was to African Americans. When she had her maid Constantine who she had a very special relationship with because she raised her she didn’t realize how mean everyone was to her just because the color of her skin.  But she didn’t  know why she was different from everybody else and didn’t hear what people said about her and other African Americans behind their backs.  

She changes the maids point of views of society because she shows them that they should be whoever they want to be and they don’t have to just be maids. That they could change Jackson Mississippi forever because just because they were a certain color doesn’t mean that they can’t accomplish things. and the only thing that’s different about them from the rest of the world is the color of their skin and they shouldn’t be treated the way they are. 

The maids changed her view of society because they opened up her eyes to how nasty the town can be.  How mean people are to the maids and how they’re treated and skeeter kind of puts herself in their shoes, realizing how mean her friends and family could be to their maids.

Skeeter changed because she decided to interview Abilene and it opened up her eyes to see the true prejudices of her upbringing. She changed the maids view of society just as much as they changed her.  She learned that color does not define who you are and what you can accomplish. Skeeter started out as a rich person not exactly like her friends but close and after she wrote her book she turned into someone else. That’s really what changed Skeeter: her idea to write about something that crossed everybody’s mind but no one was brave enough to talk about it.

Patriots Pen

I would tell America’s founding fathers how grateful I am for all the amendments, and also how I think some things could have been changed. I think that a lot of amendments could have been changed or tweaked so that they would work more in our benefit. I also think that some of them are perfect and have really worked in the United States favor as well.

I am very thankful for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press and the right to assemble and petition the government. If it was not for freedom of speech we would not be able to protest and share are opinions and what we think is right. If it wasn’t for the freedom of religion we would not be able to go to whatever church we want people would have to tell us what church to go to wether we were that religion or not. If it was not for the freedom of press we would not be able to talk about certain events and then people wouldn’t know about it. If it was not for the right to assemble and petition the government we would not be able to sign petitions and state our opinions. Another amendment that I am grateful for is the right to bear arms because it was not for the right to bear arms we would be unable to keep firearms to protect ourselves. The amendment to prohibit the forced quartering of soldiers during peace time is a good thing to because they won’t make you become a soldier in a war.

Some Amendments I am not so grateful for are that they prohibit excessive fines and excessive bail as well as cruel and unusual punishment because no matter how bad you hurt someone or kill someone nobody deserves to be treated that way no matter how evil or disgusting they are. I also don’t agree with the prohibition of alcohol because it doesn’t work people drink when they want to.

Some amendments are really good and I am very grateful  and appreciate them very much but there are also some that should have never been made or at least changed but I am grateful for all the founding fathers did for our country and this is what I would tell Americas founding fathers.     

The Alliance

Authors Note: I wrote this cause and effect piece on the hunger games and the few chapters where Rue was alive. I chose the book the Hunger Games because it was my favorite books. The Rue scenes were my favorite because I felt like Rue and Katniss’s relationship was very touching. It made me so sad when Rue got killed   

In the book the hunger games 24 kids go to a game called to go the hunger games if they get picked at the hunger games. There are several climaxes in the book the hunger games.  One of the turning points is when Katniss takes Rue in as an ally. This is a turning point because it made them take a liking to each other so this made a dramatic scene when Rue died which caused and outbreak in district 8 which also caused some of the trouble Katniss got into after the games. The main event that led up to this climax would be the tracker jacker incident. When the tracker jackers bit Katniss she passed out for 2 days so Rue looked out and took care or her, so when she woke up she decided to form an alliance with her.

Some things that happened because of this event was the riot in district 8. The reason they broke out in a riot was because of what Katniss did to Rues body, she decorated her body with flowers and gave the symbol for respect to the screen to show that she had respect for district 8.   

President of Panem

Authors note: I chose to write my conflict and resolution paper on The Hunger Games because it is my favorite book. I chose to write about Katniss becoming the president because it is the main conflict of the story.

The Hunger Games is a game where kids go to fight to the death. 2 children form each district get called at whats called a reaping and go to the capitol where the arena is. I think that The Hunger games is a person vs. society conflict because the people from all districts end up fighting against the government because they don't like the way Panem is being run.The conflict in The Hunger Games is hard to end at book one, The conflict is actually has very little to do with Katniss Everdeen herself. The main conflict is more about the government and they way they fight for their country.  The conflict is not resolved until the 3rd book Mocking jay where Katniss ends up killing the president and becomes president herself. This is important because she ends the hunger games so it ends the whole conflict and that is how its resolved

In book 2 Catching fire it tells you how she fought her way up to becoming president and she fought against the president and the people that were against her. She also had people who were rebels that wanted to help her get to the top because they like what she was doing and what she wanted for the country. In the end of book 3 the main conflict is resolved.

Best Dress

Authors note: The reason I wrote a personal narrative on me buying my first dress was because it was a very memorable moment for me and I will never forget it I can also recall all the details.

It was 3 days before my first communion when my mom got me and my sister into the car and drove us up to David’s Bridal. When we pulled into the parking lot my first thought was Bridal? Nobody was getting married it was a first communion not a wedding, so I made sure my mom knew that trust me. My mom  said that they didn’t only have wedding dresses they had all kinds. “ok.” I said we can see what they have.” When we walked in the door the store was full of dresses ceiling to floor It was bonkers!

 I didn’t know where to look they were everywhere all different colors and everything. My mom let me and my sister go off and look on our own but before she let us go she said. “You need to get a white dress and Allison you can get any other color except for white.”That made me heartbroken that I couldn’t get a colorful dress, but I got over it as soon as I saw all the beautiful dresses they had in white. When me and my sister parted ways  my mom also looked around even though she knew that she wasn’t  getting anything. I went  and skimmed through probably thousands of dresses and finally found a dazzling  one.

  I knew I had to get it. I ran to go find my sister to tell her I found the perfect dress as I found her she was looking at a delightful light green dress she said, “This is the one.”  We went to go find my mom and as we found her she was by wedding dresses and we  told her we  found them, the perfect dresses . Excellent  she said, “Let’s go find Isabelle’s first.” I took my mom to my dress and she grabbed it for me,” Where is yours Allison?” She asked my sister and we walked across the store so my mom could get hers.  My mom said “you have to try them on to make sure they fit.” We both went back  to the dressing rooms.

When  we were done changing we both opened the doors at the same time, and before we even got out of the dressing room we looked at each other in amazement.   Both of our dresses looked stunning,  we walked and both twirled to show my mom.  She actually started tearing up a little. “You’re getting so old.” She said (I was 7 years old can you imagine what  she’ll do when I graduate.) We finally bought our dresses and went home making sure to be gentle with them.  I was  ecstatic for my big day especially now that I had the best dress.

My Sisters Keeper

Authors note: I wrote a retelling piece on my sisters keeper because it was one of the best books I have ever read and I can remember most of the details I read about it.

Anna feels as if she was born just to give blood to her sister who had leukemia. Because of this Anna is unable to live the life she wants to. When her parents cross the line and tell her that she has to donate a kidney she decides to sue her parents for medical emancipation and the rights to her own body they try the attorney agrees to work with Anna and although Kate and Anna have a special and strong relationship and you find out that Kate Anna’s sister tells her to sue her parents in the end Anna gets killed in a car accident and passes away therefore they take her kidney and give it to Kate and every year on her birthday they go down to Montana which is where her favorite beach was and mourn her loss.       

My Family

Authors note: I put this piece up about my family because I thought I would give you some info about my family life.

I am an only child I don't have any real brothers or sisters but I have a few step siblings I have 5 my dad and mom both got remarried the oldest is Brett he is 28 and lives with my step mom Manteno Illinois they are from Glencoe Illinois  he used to be in the air force but he dropped out he should be moving out soon. Jillian is 26 and is a Mechanical engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire control and studied mechanical engineering at the Georgia institute of technology she lives in Dallas Texas and is from Glencoe Illinois. Jenna is 21 and  goes to college in northern Illinois and is going to school to become a nurse those are all my dads step kids. My moms step kids are Alyssa she is 16 she is a Hostess at Famous Dave's Bar B Que of America Inc. she goes to Waukesha north high school and she has a boyfriend named Jack who is really nice she also lives in Waukesha and then there is Matthew who is 11 and lives in Pewaukee and is also from Pewaukee his birthday is July 27th. another thing that with step siblings is step parents My step dad's name is Ken he owns about 2 different businesses he went to Pewaukee high and lives in Pewaukee. My step mom's name is Laura she is a teacher and live in Illinois. That is all about my step family I don't have much of more family outside my step family besides my actual parents.           

Summer Time

Authors note: I wrote about this because I am so excited for summer and to get outside and have fun.

This year feels like it's gone by so fast it's already 3 weeks until summer. I can't believe it. My summer plans are to hang out with my friends; people from my new school definitely but, hang out with kids from my old school too. It's hard to hang out during the school year because, my friends from my old school, live kinda far, just to hang out after school. We will also be doing alot of boating this year too. We have already gone out on the lake a few times this year because, there are a few days it's been really nice. I will be getting my boaters safety soon so I can help my step-dad with his boat rental business. Another thing I will probably do is babysit and help my step-dad with his business. Since my cousins just had another baby in November and they both have jobs, I will probably babysit for them alot more. So my summer consists of mostly hanging out with my friends and helping out but, there is definitely more, for example going to the beach, laying out in the sun, getting out my summer clothes, swimming, and also hanging out with family. I can't wait for summer to come because, I know I will have so much fun.      

Weekend fun

Authors note: I wrote this because I am so excited for this weekend even though I am not doing much I am still excited to chill and be stress free for a few days 

I am so fed up with this week I just want to get on with my weekend fun. Friday night I went  to my aunts then I went to Applebee's with some family friends, after helping my Step-dad with work. When I went to my aunts I just went so my cousin could help me with my homework. Then I went and helped my step-dad with his boats to get them ready for the summer. After we were done we went to Applebee's and I got a delicious Wild Berry lemonade. But no food because I wasn't that hungry. On Saturday I spent the day with my grandma she took me to the mall although I didn't get anything I still had a good day. On Sunday I went to my other aunts to spend mother's day with my family and we ate brunch and just sat outside because it was so beautiful out and later my step-family went out on our boat and got pizza towards the end of the day I am so pleased with my weekend because I had a lot of fun and got to sleep plenty.

Author's note: I am writing about my top ten favorite songs because I felt the need to express them because music is my life if I didn't have music I don't know what I would do
 
the 10 songs I am about to write about are my absolute favorite and maybe some of yours as well my  tenth favorite song is Star ships by Nicki Minaj I like this song because its like a dance/pop song it's one of those songs where when you're in the car and it comes on the radio you just want to dance to it for me the music video kind of makes me think of Hawaii and I think the song is just about letting go and partying a little bit. My ninth favorite song is Boyfriend by Justin Bieber I like this song because I have liked Justin Bieber for a long time and know he is going into another style of music so it's something different which it's good to change style sometimes. My eight favorite song is Turn Up The Music by Chris Brown I like this song because I definitely like what it's about it says right in the song I am always asking my mom or dad if I am not in the front seat to turn the music up I can't even drive in the car for more than five minutes without turning on the radio. My seventh favorite song is It Girl by Jason Derulo I like this song because well i don't really know why I like this song I just do because it is a catchy tune and it is a again kinda a pop song. My sixth favorite song is kind of old  it's Marry You by Bruno Mars I like this song because it's kind of just about a couple that has new love and they want to get married and what not I mainly like this song though because it's another good pop song. My fifth favorite song is even older it's The Only Exception by Paramore I like this song because it's a slower and sort of different than the other songs I have talked about so far.

My fourth favorite song is really old it is Jar Of Hearts by Christina Perri I like this song because it's different than what I usually listen to. My third favorite song is Somebody That I Used To Know By Gotye ft. Kimbra I like this song because it doesn't sound like something that would be on the radio nowadays it kind of sounds like something my parents would listen to but it's a good sound and I like how it sounds. My second favorite song is She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 I know it's old but it's been my favorite song for awhile I mean I constantly am changing my favorite song but this has always been my second one forever. My number one favorite song is.... Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen I LOVE this song it's my absolute favorite right now every time it comes on the radio or I hear it I sing it.

Pet Peeves

Authors note: I wrote this because I felt like I had to get my point across about my pet peeves and I hope after reading this you wont do these things just to annoy me.

 

My pet peeves are simple things they may seem like they wouldn't bother you  but they annoy me so much.

my number one pet peeve is when people are typing an email or writing a letter and they say it outloud while they are composing it, especially if it is totally quiet and the person is sitting next to me and they’re just repeating exactly what they’re typing. It is just annoying while I am trying to concentrate. My second pet peeve is when kids tease dogs through a fence. It's like what did that poor dog do to you? You look at the dogs face and they look so confused and it's so sad. Then people wonder why dogs attack them. My third pet peeve is when my brother drinks milk right out of the container and he puts it back in the refrigerator. I mean gross,  it's like what if I didn't know he did that, and I went to go get a glass of milk that would just be absolutely nasty.

My fourth pet peeve is when couples sit on the same booth when no one is sitting on the other side. That annoys me so much because it's like personally I would rather have my own personal space than be squished against another person. The fifth pet peeve I have is when people come with you to go see a movie but they have already seen it and as you're trying to watch the movie they tell exactly what's gonna happen. It’s like, I didn't come to this movie for nothing. The point of me coming to see this movie is so I can find out what happens, you don't have to tell me.  Finally, my biggest pet peeve is when even though there is a coaster right there people put their glass right on the table. I mean there is a coaster sitting right there that  literally says “use me” on it. So, why can't you just set your glass on the coaster?

Those are my six pet peeves and they annoy me to the point where I am infuriated with anger so remember the next time I see you to please use the coaster.   

The Hunger Games

Authors Note

 I wrote about this book in particular because everybody is reading it and a majority of people are liking it as well. Also I thought it would make into a fabulous essay 

The Hunger games is the most wonderful book I really have ever read its one of the first books that I actually got into and couldn’t put down. It’s the type of story that I paid attention to every detail it is the first book I really gained interest in. I could tell you every event that happened with great detail. The Hunger Games   was truly amazing!

Why did Suzanne Collins write about The Hunger Games?  I am pretty sure Suzanne Collins wrote this because she felt the need to express an important subject, the most important subject what the world is coming to what will happen if the government doesn’t change. Obviously she was trying to prevent this (I mean who wants to see kids fight to the death.) I think she made to some good points in the book using the main characters of the story Peeta Gale, and Katniss. I mean I don’t think our world would boil down to that in this lifetime because obviously none of this generation teenagers are getting in the arena anytime soon.

I cannot not really relate to The Hunger Games as it is a harsh topic that I have never experienced nor witnessed. I can compare it to wars and other things for example according to Wikipedia Suzanne Collins part of the novel was based on the invasion in Iraq which was from March 19^th to May 1^st in 2003. And as she was channel surfing she flipped to a reality game show and that’s when the idea came to her.

 I guess that’s mainly what I can compare it to I compare it to the war because that must have been where the idea of killing each other basically came from, and it is a similar thing except with adults, and there not really fighting to the death and where one person is standing they just fight until one team is defeated. I see what she got out of the game show as well I believe that’s where she got the competing against each other to win a prize or something in that aspect and which is also similar because they are fighting against each other but not exactly to the death because I think that would be a very risky game show. Both subjects tied together gives you The Hunger Games the only thing I don’t completely understand is why there were kids involved instead of adults? although i guess that would make the story more exciting for readers and it would be a totally different story is it were with adults. I also believed that she tied in the story that she had lost her father in the Vietnam War which is what happened to Katniss when she was 11 in the story.       

The Hunger Games made me jump page after page by the rapid twists and turns it made your heart race and made your heart stop by how exciting it was this is why I liked wait, not liked, loved The Hunger Games it was an amazing course of action throughout the whole story there was not one dull point for me I loved every minute of it and was pretty much heartbroken when it was over, thank goodness there is two more books to follow.

A Mystery

Author’s Note: I wrote this essay because Belle Prater’s Boy was one of my favorite books that I have read in awhile; I knew it was worth writing about because the book was sad but it turned joyous because Woodrow (Belle’s son) becomes happy with the life he lives as his cousins next door neighbor.

Belle Prater’s Boy was one of the most transcendent books I’ve ever read. Don’t run away from your problems: face them. This was the moral of the story which enlightened my heart.  Ruth White, the author, greatly deserved the Newbery Medal for her work on Belle Prater’s Boy. The book was stupendous, because it helped me connect to not only myself, but also the world, and other books due to what it will teach readers that you should never run away from life and your problems.

A lot of people in the world run away from their lives because they think they’ll find a better way of existence that suits their wants and needs. Children sometimes choose to just run away from their parents which is quite unfortunate. This point relates to the book because this is what happens to Belle Prater’s son. The main character, who is also the mom, runs away and there is no trace of her.  When this happens, it’s a great way to connect to the happenings of the real world.   

This book connects to the many other novels I’ve read in the past because, mysteries are my most cherished genres.  Most of the genres I like to read are the only books with the mysteries because, it’s enjoyment to try and discover the mystery before the end.  Another reason why these books interest me is the fact that they pull you in.

While acknowledging the fact that Belle Prater’s Boy can correlate to other books, also notice that it can connect to ourselves, too. I don’t connect to this fairytale, because someone in my life has never been kidnapped or has run away.  Sometimes though I just want to run away from my life like Belle Prater, but I face my problems. I also connect to this book in additional ways of having dreams of luggage I’ve carried in my hands from the past.  I don’t have dreams of dying animals or people though like Belle.   

My reasoning why Belle Prater Boy was a wonderful book in my mind is, it helped me connect to not only myself but the world and other books as well, and taught reader’s that you should never run away from life and your problems. If you run out of books to read in your house then you should go to your local library and read this book because it makes a very strong point; it teaches readers a good lesson to never give up.      

A Classic Children's Story

Authors note: I wrote an essay on this book because all my essays are more about new books so I decided to write my essay on somethng no one really writes about. I thought it would be a good short story to write about.
  
I read the book The Princess and the Pea, which is a classic. The Princess and the Pea is a wonderful story because it teaches you to never give up and always keep looking no matter what also to reach outside of your comfort zone and try someting new. What makes the princess and the pea like this is is because how it is put together and the events that take place in the story. Generations have read this book, and millions of children have read it and enjoyed it. When I was little The Princess and the Pea was my favorite book. Also because you can picture the short story. You see it happening in real life, even though it probably hasn't. because it is very detailed because it has really good pictures and the text is very creative

The Princess and the Pea is actually a danish story. It was written by Christian Hans Anderson. it has also been made into a play before. The play was called once upon a mattress   by Carol Burnette it was basically a redo of the Princess and the Pea.The Princess and the Pea is sort of a dramatic story. because the drama with him trying to find a wife can be dramatic

The Princess and the Pea is a wonderful story because it is a classic children's story.  It also teaches kids a good lesson. It shows them to never give up hope and always keep doing something until you accomplish it. That is something all kids need to do to be successful in life also that is a goal to have.

The Princess and the Pea Is a great Children's story. I used to love this book and I still do. Kids love this book. . Its a great  book to read to your brothers and sisters or even kids your babysitting.

The New Years Eve Ball Drop

Authors Note: I wrote this story because not that long sago it was new years eve and new years is my favirote holiday. also because i would like to go to time square and see it.

Every new years eve there are a bunch of people waiting outside time square to see the the ball drop. The Ball drop is a big ball filled with lights and at 11:59 it on December 31st it slowly starts to move towards the bottom to reach it at Midnight or when the new year starts.It has been around since 1907 that was when the first ball drop was. Millions of people come from all over the world to see it. It is an amazing sight to see.

What Do I Comapre Myself To?

Authors Note: I wrote this story because we had to write a personal metaphor piece so I decided that my mom calls me this all the time so this is my metaphor it was the first thing that popped into my mind
“you are a floor lamp” my mom always says that to me when were standing next to each other or I make a smart comment. she calls me that because she thinks I am tall skinny and smart.  because a floor lamp is tall and skinny and it has a light bulb so i guess my mom just connected my smarts with a light bulb should I take this as a compliment or should I ?  

The boy who skipped school

Authors note: I wrote this story because i wanted to write a short story and obviously it turned into a large story I had so many ideas i like this story because its is one story wrote that I don't relate to myself

It was a beautiful Monday morning in Denver, Colorado the sun was just rising over the horizon as  parents were waking up there children to get ready for school. School only had 3 more weeks before kids were released for the summer so everybody was up but Skippy. Skippy didn't want to go to school he just wanted to play video games go to the park and do other things that didn't involve alot of thinking. But Skippy's mother said “Skippy in 3 weeks you will be able to do all that stuff without skipping class”.
Skippy cried and begged but his mother said no time after time until Skippy hatched an idea he packed up his skateboard, his football and a few other things in his backpack His mother yelled “Skippy its time to go” Skippy yelled “im coming.”


 When Skippy was in the car with his mother he was silent. “Wow sure did change your idea of wanting to skip” his mother he said “yea well Harold  texted me and told me we were having a party in class today”:. “oh well sounds like fun” his mother said as she pulled up to school Skippy waved his mother good bye as he got out of the car he walked slowly up to the doors.  He noticed his mother was gone he turned and went behind school he went to the Field that was right behind his school decided he would stay there by himself all day long hey it beat going to school Skippy thought. when he got out of sight from any windows at school he sat down and pulled out his cell phone. He called school and pretended to sound like his father “ I am sorry but my son Skippy Johnson will not be able to come he is very sick” he told Mrs. Smith the Secretary she said “OK” and hung up sounding very busy.

 Skippy just hung out in the grass and skate board on the pavement a few inches away when he heard a noise it was a loud crash he went to go look at what the sound could have been when he noticed some guy trying to get into the school he was armed with a weapon in his hand  Skippy was so scared his fingers were tingling his teeth were chattering. He quietly put his things back in his bag and ran off so the person would not hear him “I told my mom i should have stayed home” he said under his breath he knew that the guy wouldn't get in because there school had a top notch security system. So Skippy ran and ran and ran until he felt he was safe when he stopped he was in woods he had been running for the past hour where had he gone!

Skippy had walked for another hour still paranoid about the man that could have followed him after another hour of walking Skippy was tired and just wanted to go home. He looked at his watch it read 2:00 which meant he had 45 minutes to get out of the woods and go to his moms car he walked for another half an hour he plopped down on the ground and shed a tear or two and he told himself “I wish I would have gone to school today” he never thought he would say that. Skippy hated school.

 He had to find his mothers car in 15 minutes or he was toast he started frantically running through the forest to find his way out at 3 he knew his mom was worried sick probably called all his friends and knew he was in trouble because they told her he wasn't at school today. Then he remembered he had his phone out but it had no signal he walked and walked and walked to try to find a cell phone signal until he finally found himself outside the forest he called his mom and she said “Skippy where have you been you are grounded mister where are you are you all right”. Then Skippy interrupted her and said “mom I am fine I am just lost but I am standing right by a street sign that says Forest grove” he said then his mother said “Forest Grove? forest grove forest gro Wait i know where that is i will be there in 5 minu”. She hung up before she could even finish the word.

Skippy sat down and waited for his mother and she was there in 2 minutes flat he got up and walked over to the car and his mother started yelling at him before he opened up the door his mother told him he was grounded till summer vacation. And that she wouldn't be leaving school from this point on until she sees him go in the door until he can drive on his own. the next day he asked Harold what they did in class Harold said “it was actually really fun the whole day we learned about stranger danger. They even Had someone pretend to break in” then Skippy stopped dead in his tracks he ran from a fake robber with a fake weapon and got lost for no reason at all from that day on Skippy never missed a day of school or work for that matter.  

My First Kitten

   Authors note: This story is about my first kitten. While I was writing it, so many memeories were brought back. These memories are from not only when I had the best pet in the world but from my old life. I miss my kitten so much and wish I could still have her. 


     This picture reminds me of my first cat her name was Kali it was right after my parents got divorced my mom started dating this guy and he had 2 kids and for each of there 7Th birthdays he got them cats. so on my 7Th birthday i was at my dads house just watching TV and my dad came in my room and said I know you are supposed to sleep at my house tonight but your mom has a surprise for you so I left my dads house and he drove me to my moms my dad walked me to the door.  I was so excited because I love surprises my dad gave me a hug goodbye as my mom opened the door and I walked in and she took me in my room where my peaceful new kitty laid in her pink bed sleeping the first thing I said is “is that for me”.

 My mom told me another surprise she said its her birthday today and I looked at her and said but today is my birthday and my mom said I know you guys have the same birthday i enjoyed having my kitty for 3 years until me and my mom moved out of her boyfriends house but he had to keep the cat.  We moved into a friends house and her dog and my cat didn't get along and that was the last time i ever saw the cat I had dressed up and played with all the time this picture makes me miss my kitten but it also brings back great memories.   

Jewlery Box

Authors note: Imagine what it would be like to be a jewlery box! Going on that type of journey would be fun exciting and interesting! Read the story of my Jewerly boxs journey.

I remember when I was just a pieces of wood sitting at the manufacturer but then a few days later I was made in to a box with doors and shelves and they named me jewelry so I became a Jewelry box. I was sitting on the shelves for days and days until this really nice lady and her daughter came in and took me off the shelf I had been sitting on forever and ever they set me on another counter where the mean lady that put me on the shelf had scanned me! well after that she put me in a bag and the lady walked around me to different stores for hours and hours until finally we left.

As she walked out in the cold with me it was freezing well she put in a little burrow and slammed the door shut it was dark and scary after that I heard another slam and we were moving about 10 minutes later the lady opened the door and took me out she went into her house and layed me on her bed when she started putting necklaces, bracelets, nail polish, rings, and earrings in me of course I didn't mind until she wrapped me all up in wrapping paper. Then put me right by the front door where there was definitely a draft a few hours later I felt myself be picked up again and put in a different spot it was lighter even though I could barley see through the little hole in the wrapping paper.

When we started moving again we we finally got to our destination I heard the door open and felt myself being picked up again when we went in I heard laughter and alot of people.  The little I could see I was placed under a tree after all that craziness I finally got some sleep when about an hour later I felt myself be picked up yet another time and this time a  girl started ripping open my wrapping paper. she looked very surprised when she saw me she started opening my drawers and saw all the Jewelry the other lady had put inside me now it has been about almost 2 weeks and I sit here in my unorganized home.
